Why put beef fat on your skin?

Join us to explore these questions and more.

Let’s learn how to render fats and make some skin elixir together – tallow balm.

Each participant will have a chance to be part of the tallow preparation. And everyone will prepare their own tallow balm to take home.

You will leave this workshop knowing how to make your own beef tallow, tallow balm, and whipped balm. And you will take home your own customized tallow balm.

A handout will be provided with step-by-step instructions, a supply list, and recipes.

About the instructor:

Jodi Gunn, B.Comm, LLB, PFP, Cert. Yoga Instr., and Urban Homesteader

Jodi believes in curiosity.

After completing business school and law school she swung the pendulum and explored yoga, meditation, and eastern philosophy. A curve in events lead her to banking and financial planning. The question became: what is wealth and how do we define abundance?

For Jodi, abundance includes experimenting with creativity, resilience, fun… and connection with the community!

local, delicious, and nutrient-dense food,

beautiful, fragrant, and nourishing skin care,

Jodi lives with her husband and two Jack Russells in Calgary, Alberta, and spends as much time as she can experimenting with all the urban homestead things.
