Cats Claw: Raw Organic – Light Cellar
Story:
A woody vine that grows wild in the Amazon rainforest and other tropical areas of Central and South America, cats claw use for health dates back to the Inca civilization. It has been used medicinally by the Aguaruna, Ashankinka, Cashibo, Conibo and Shipibo tribes of Peru for at least 2000 years. Its name is derived from the claw-shaped thorns that grow from the base of the leaves.
Decoction: Add approx 2-3 Tbsp or 6-9 grams per litre of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 min. Strain. Add lemon. Re brew 1-2 times with reduced water. Drink as tea or use as a base for elixirs, brew with pau d’arco or make a tincture. Avoid if trying to conceive or taking blood thinners.
