Rosehips: Organic – Light Cellar
Story:
Rosehips, or haws, are the fruit of the wild rose that forms when the petals of the flower fall off. The rose has been an emblem of sacred silence since ancient times. They have been an important medicine and food source, especially during the winter months, for both animals and humans. In Slovenia, they are used to make a popular soda, called Cockta and in other parts, a mead called Rhodomel.
Tea: Crush and infuse 1-2 tsp per cup boiling water. Steep 10-15 min. Use in smoothies, soups and beverages or use to make jam. Excellent as a herbal syrup. Pairs well with hibiscus as a tea.
